The CORE Reset – The Midlife Framework that got Deb shining from the inside out!
Does this sound familiar?
You keep eating, moving, living the same way you were in your 30s, but you wake tired, work with your brain in a cotton ball, and struggle to fit into your pants in the morning. Because you want answers, you turn to Google or your social media feed.
You start implementing the exact same diet and workout that are doing wonders for midlife women. And bam! You end up disheartened because it doesn't work for YOU.
Eventually, you throw out all the advice because it’s too hard, too extreme, and you don’t get the energy and mental clarity anyway.
That’s when you start to approach life like you are embarked on a boat rocking on deep waves, without a helm. And while you are adrift, you know deep down your aspirations are beyond the frustration and lack of control you are currently immersed in.
But wait. There is a helm and a cruisy path forward – one where you rebuild your confidence without having to power through or overhaul your entire life.
That’s what happens when you follow the CORE Reset framework.
In this blog post, I’ll give you an in-depth view of this method. I’ll show you how you can recreate a lifestyle to navigate your menopausal years without chasing advice, trendy diets, or full-on exercise.
I’ll cover
Why do you need to compose your lifestyle symphony and get your habits and vitality to stick
The spokes of the hormonal health wheel to shift your menopausal story from “awful” to “joyful and graceful”, with a flexible learning framework
How a Core Reset gets you from frustration to confidence through Debby’s story
What makes the CORE Reset framework different from the done-for-you methods
When you are tired of trying, what to do next
A hormonal health wheel that turns at your pace
Let’s start with a bit of context
For any woman stepping into perimenopause, symptoms come as a shock. How could you eat the same, move the same, live the same and get fatigue, brain fog and weight gain in return?
The answer lies in a comprehensive, holistic approach to this hormonal transition. Because everything is connected, and you are unique.
Hence, the need for a full wheel of health and life.
The CORE Reset Method, the foundation of my Fasting Lifestyle System, goes beyond food and fasting, weaving together mental, physical and emotional health to shift your menopausal story from “awful” to “joyful and graceful”.
The result?
When you walk through this method, you feel equipped to lead your life with confidence. You show up at work sharp and focused, engage at home with energy and patience, and rediscover the joy of living in a body you love.
Here’s how it works:
The C spoke – Rethinking food
You’ve probably heard to eat more protein and less sugar. And yet?
You try and give up as life takes over
You think you do it, but it’s not working
You ignore it because with so many ways to implement, you end up confused
I’ve seen countless women with menu plans and strict directives feeling defeated as they struggle to stick to their commitments for the long term.
Nourishment goes beyond counting calories or relying on recipe handouts.
This is where Conscious eating, the first spoke of the menopausal health wheel, comes in.
Instead of relying on rigid diets or one-size-fits-all meal plans, you’re invited to explore how you eat and how you approach food in a deeper, integrated way. You uncover old diet rules that no longer serve you and explore what manifests as hunger or cravings. Then,
You leave with a food strategy that talks to your hormones and fits into your professional, social and family life.
You prepare meals that support your busy life, instead of clogging it.
You embrace food as a means for connection and nourishment and enjoy meals without guilt or confusion.
You send comfort and safety signals to your brain.
Once you’ve built a nourishing, conscious relationship to food, you are ready to lean into open fasting windows.
The O spoke– The power of cycling
Feast and fasting are part of our evolutionary being.
In the past fifty years, food has become available everywhere, at any time. Temptations are hard to escape. Eating too frequently derails our female physiology, often backfiring and intensifying cravings.
Quick story – In my first silent meditation retreat, something struck me.
I thought the biggest challenge would be staying silent for ten days – not at all! Hunger was harder for many people as most attendees struggled to cruise through a long fasting window. Those unsettled beings were eagerly looking at the next meal, rushing and filling their plate as if there was no tomorrow.
This story often resonates with midlife hormonal reality, and I bet it resonates with yours.
That’s why the second spoke of my CORE Reset method is about opening your fasting windows.
As you get through a massive hormonal transition, adopting a fasting lifestyle is one of the most effective tools to navigate these changes with ease. Learn the art of composing your personal fasting lifestyle and you create a rhythm that supports your healing and wellbeing:
You escape the shiny object syndrome of the latest trend to adopt a holistic, tailored approach.
You compose a “food symphony” that matches this stage of your life.
You’re living in a body you love. Because what you do every day matters.
Fasting isn’t about deprivation; it’s about freedom. It allows your body to rejuvenate, your mind to calm, and your hormones to find balance. If fasting sounds impossible, jump straight here.
With open fasting windows, you build a lifestyle that truly works for you. And this lifestyle cannot be complete without the non-negotiable rest.
The R spoke– Changing habits for life
Modern life glorifies busyness. As you reach your mid-40s or early 50s, you may find yourself running from one responsibility to the next – from being an award-winning professional to perfecting your motherhood, caring for your aging parents, and socialising with friends – and you keep smiling when all you feel like is having a nap.
Rest and Reset is the third spoke of the CORE Reset wheel.
Without rest, your body and mind cannot heal, rewire or balance. Rest is a foundational element of this transitional phase of your life.
Beyond sleep, rest includes
Physical rest or moving to restore your vitality
Mental rest to quieten the exhausting, constant chatter inside
Emotional rest to allow feelings that are overly suppressed
Social rest to create the space to say yes or no
Accessing rest in the midst of a massive hormonal shift, a busy family life, and at the peak of your career may seem like climbing Mount Everest – a nice idea that seems completely unattainable for you.
And yet, if you cannot stay sitting on a chair for two minutes without having to be active again, this is exactly where you need to be heard.
As soon as you introduce rest into your busy lifestyle, you start to reset.
When you prioritise rest, your brain gets its nightly “clean-up”, clearing the fog and sharpening focus. Your mood lifts, your patience returns, and you stay confident at work.
Rest is a core value for living your life with joy and vitality.
As you delve into the core processes of the menopausal transition, you will naturally adopt rest and meet your specific needs. You can finally embrace energising, not exhausting, movement. That’s where the final piece of the CORE Reset framework comes in.
The E spoke – Unlocking Energy Through Gentle Motion
I often hear blame and shame from women who are not able to go to the gym, get an intense workout done, or are too tired to ride their bike on the weekend.
That’s why the E of the CORE Reset method stands for energising movement. It demystifies the common belief that you need to do more to get results.
As you reach hormonal shifts in your mid-40s, your body calls on a backup system to keep you balanced – your adrenal glands – and you actually need to unload stressors to allow for hormonal stability
Knowing that, intense physical workout and the overwhelm of having to go to the gym again will only contribute to adding stress. That’s where timing is everything.
Working out around your cycle and making movement an integral part of your life, rather than an add-on to your life, is the strategy. As you start to embody the quality of movement you need, you gain, not drain, energy.
Quick story
Debby, a CEO and single mum, entered the Fasting Lifestyle System exhausted, foggy and pushing herself through late-night gym sessions in the hope of regaining control.
What surprised her most about the CORE Reset was not a strict diet or gruelling fitness plan – it was the gentleness of the approach. By creating space for rest, conscious eating and energising movement, Debby found her clarity and energy returning.
Her words say it best:
“It’s hard to explain, but I feel my brain has lots of space and seems to be lighter and clearer; physically, I am more energetic, not feeling drowsy at all; emotionally, I have a sense of peace and calmness. My joints and muscles ache less. The process was shining from the inside out!!! The experience is transformative.”
Q – What makes the CORE Reset method different from any done-for-you method
I think the best way to unravel the difference is to address what the CORE Reset method is NOT.
It’s not a “fill the blank” method– you don’t try to squeeze yourself into a box that doesn’t fit; instead, you discover what works for you, and shape an approach that matches your lifestyle.
It’s not about adding rules and routines– you don’t pile more onto your plate; instead, you strip things back, decluttering your diet, your space and your agenda.
It’s not about wondering what others think– because who cares? Ultimately, your boss, colleagues, family, friends, and loved ones need you to be grounded and energised.
You run the show on your terms. You focus on what you need and implement it.
Q- What if you are already overwhelmed and have no space for adding the CORE Reset method into your life?
I hear this concern often.
And here is the deal:
As I said before, without a framework, menopause feels like being tossed around in a rocky boat with no helm. Why? Because fatigue steals your productivity, brain fog costs you opportunities, and frustration leaves you drained at home.
You want to do more and end up doing less.
So, yes, navigating a whole lot of unexpected symptoms on your own is possible, but it can be daunting and time-consuming.
There is nothing more unsettling than trying to fit into a patriarchal model, the story of your colleague, of the perfected image on social media.
The alternative is to put your health and well-being in the context of your female biology in the present.
When you go back to the core of your being, to the core of practices that serve you and to the core of rhythms that are deeply yours, you stop adding more into your life, to do more with your life.
You regain the leadership of your body and life, and it radiates outward with the return of your confidence, energy and focus. At work, it may show up as promotions and recognition. At home, it manifests as patience, laughter, and openness with the people you love.
Q- But I cannot fast
I do agree with this.
When you say, “I need to eat every two hours, or I feel 'hangry', it’s true. You cannot fast from a place of exhaustion and lack.
That’s why I never talk about fasting before talking about food.
Fasting is not about skipping meals, deprivation or forcing through.
Fasting is about listening to your body, balancing your hormones, and cultivating a lifestyle that rejuvenates rather than depletes.
The Fasting Lifestyle is not forced. It is built on your own rhythm at your own pace. You overcome your preconceived ideas around fasting by building up your own for the years ahead. And the process starts with food.
In conclusion
When you feel exhausted, not thinking straight, and uncomfortable in your own skin, the only way forward is to ensure your core needs are heard and met. That’s what this framework is all about: a comprehensive approach that meets you where you are – in your body, mind, career, family and social life.
The CORE Reset method is a holistic approach to midlife transition that frees you from unending questions, from “what’s for dinner tonight” to “how can I get my mojo back?” It’s a hormonal health wheel that encompasses your whole being and teaches you to learn how to govern your female body.
The best part? You simplify your approach to life. You improve your interactions with yourself and others, and you begin to attract professional opportunities and moments of magic with family.
