How to start a fasting lifestyle with a stressful job
You’d love to have a slim silhouette and the bouncing energy that was yours only a few months ago…
but you’re worried that your stressful life is on the way.
Maybe you have deadlines at work.
Maybe you juggle with caring with teens, parents while working and holding the house straight.
Maybe you’ve heard fasting can support your energy levels, help regulate your weight and lift your brain fog. And that’s exactly what you need.
But… you sense there is no space in your life and in your head to start something like that.
And even though you know you want more energy, a slim waist and be able to focus …
The idea makes you nervous and you’re a bit scared it’s not possible for you.
Well…
I have good news:
✨ You really don’t need to feel serene and be on holidays to create a fasting lifestyle that lift the veil off your overwhelmed, overweight and over fatigued self.
Let me explain…
In this blog post
1.I will share what it actually takes to build the lifestyle that supports your energy, weight and concentration – and it’s not about overloading your (already) stressful life
2.I will present the frames you can lean into, so make waist weight and lack of energy a story from the past
3.I will share with you what I discovered from my stressful job as a human resources manager that keeps me fit, slim and on track
When you think about fasting making your stress worse or being too busy to add something new to your routine, these are very real concerns.
And during menopause it makes more sense.
As hormones shift, so does stress resilience. The same work-life pressures now feel heavier.
And oneof the biggest misunderstandings about fasting is that it’s the first step. It’s not.
When I work with women experiencing menopausal symptoms, our real goal at the beginning is something different:
We start by pacifying the body and brain.
So let’s jump in.
First, I need you to truly get this…
Building a lifestyle that support your energy, weight and concentration is not about overloading your (already) stressful life.
During menopause, your body responds differently to cortisol, the stress hormone. You end up more sensitive to stress, causing cortisol to rise more.
When elevated cortisol becomes chronic, several things happen:
✔️ Your body goes into fat storage mode
✔️ Your energy drops
✔️ Your concentration becomes foggy
When you say: “I’m already stressed, how can I possibly add fasting?” You are actually asking the right question.
However, your stress feeds fatigue and makes you hold onto weight more easily, which in turn creates more stress. It becomes a loop. ➿
But here’s the key insight: doing nothing doesn’t solve the cycle.
When you think you need to lower your stress before you address your weight gain and brain fog, you perpetuate the exact loop you want to avoid. It’s a very common pattern.
For most women it is anchored in the belief that a busy pace makes us worthy.
And then fast-forward to your midlife, you are constantly reminded to push through in order to achieve your goals.
So, it’s easy to postpone anything you can do for you. Because you don’t want to add more to you already busy life.
But the truth is, you fuel your stress when you delay addressing its root causes.
So the first step is not fasting, it is to identify and create the confidence that you can start now.
And to do, you need a step-by-step process which includes nervous system regulation right from the beginning – it’s about building the foundations before the walls.
The idea is not to wait for clearing stressors out of your life to start. It’s to learn how to handle those in a clear and quiet way.
And I’m not talking about sitting 20 minutes on a cushion, cross legged, to meditate.
🎯It’s about finding the micro actions for maxi results that your nervous system and your agenda can handle.
Once that foundation is in place, fasting becomes something very different.
It becomes a hormetic stress– a beneficial signal that makes your body and nervous system stronger and more balanced over time.
Instead of adding stress to your life, fasting becomes part of the solution.
You make the time spent profitable.
Because here is the thing: there are interstices in your day you can turn into a stress-management dedicated time.
But…. your brain is conditioned to keep you alert – on the deadlines, the non-responded emails, the big challenge meetings.
This is where applied neuroscience comes in.
As you learn to tap into neuroplasticity, you get the drive to walk the first step.
And you finally end up believing in your capacity to change, from a deep place of inner trust and value.
If you are reading this and think: “But I’m not sure what would be the best micro actions to put in place to start”,
I can help you with that.
All the attendees of the Fasting Lifestyle System don’t know when they start
– and they still jump in, learn to dial down their nervous system and end up getting the waist line and the energy they want.
The structure is there for you, so you don’t have to already know.
The Structure That Makes It Work
Attendees tell me the system is what stops them from over thinking.
They gain more energy and focus, feel more comfortable in their body – because they have a structure to follow.
And here is what the system is about.
Flexibility
For each of the four pillars of the CORE Reset Framework, you get a structured outline that is not time-bound.
You can adapt every step to your hormonal stage, your workload and your personal commitments.
For example,
Rose, a financial adviser, started the program during what she expected would be a quieter 12-week period at work.
Four weeks in, she was invited to join a major project. Her schedule changed overnight.
Instead of abandoning the process, she simply adjusted the plan.
She leaned on our biweekly strategy calls, strengthened the habits she had already built, and mapped out the next steps in a way that worked with her new schedule. The structure gave her stability even when work became unpredictable.
Quality over quantity
You are already stressed when you start. The last thing your body needs is more deprivation and pressure.
Rather than adding more workouts or more rules, you get to explore the quality of the food, rest and thoughts already present in your life– and to gently shift them through the lens of metabolic flexibility and emotional awareness.
And when you filter those current habits through the six steps of neuroplasticity, you create big lasting changes from small refinements.
Strategy
You are not making changes for the sake of doing something new.
You’re making changes that support your body’s ability to regulate your hormones, stabilise your energy and integrate fasting as a multi-system reboot.
Every step has a purpose.
In the guidelines,
📍You literally get a course on your female biology to understand the purpose.
📍Key nutritional and lifestyle medicine principles and the way to adapt them to your personal body and life.
📍And you get me along the way, to make sure you understand why it matters and how to tailor the guidelines to your life.
Freedom
As you immerse yourself in the process, something interesting happens:
The constant mental debates about what you should eat or do disappear.
You know where you started
You monitor your progress
And you gain confidence in the decisions you make every day,
And here is the best part…
Versatility
Once you understand this system, you can repurpose and reuse it again and again.
Your work schedule will change. Life will shift. Responsibilities will evolve.
And you will stay in flow.
Because the framework and its flexibility remain.
What My Stressful HR Career Taught Me
As a past human resources manager, I understand stressful jobs firsthand.
And I realise that one of the biggest stressors isn’t the big strategic decisions about diet or lifestyle.
What’s more stressful is that the daily question: “What’s for dinner?”
After a long workday, I would rush to the shop before closing time and stand in front of the shelves, wondering what could help me feel better and less tired.
😫 That constant decision fatigue adds up.
Over the years, my meals were not perfect. But they became strategic.
I followed simple outlines based on what I knew worked for my body.
I adapted those outlines when life got busy.
I enjoyed dinners with friends and the occasional drink without guilt.
I learned how to activate my fasting lifestyle in a flexible way that supported my goals over time.
Not through rigid meal plans or perfection.
But through consistency.
That approach helped me move through menopause with an energy level and waistline that felt aligned with how I wanted to live.
Yes, I am a nutrition coach, enjoying a drink and not cooking a perfect meal every day. 😊
And that’s the same approach I share. So you too can navigate your menopausal years gracefully and joyfully.
👉 If stress has been holding you back from starting, these ideas may help you shift your perspective:
You never know where to start before starting.
Action will bring clarity
Jumping blind into fasting is not the answer.
Many women have tried that. What you need is a system that supports your body long term.
The fear of failure disappears when you follow a proven process.
Applied neuroplasticity shows you that your brain can learn new patterns at any stage of your life.
Two brains are better than one

Your next step
If your stressful life makes you believe that improving your health is impossible right now, it might be time to rewrite that story.
Your ability to regain energy, focus, and a comfortable waistline has much less to do with your schedule.
It has much more to do with having a strategic, repeatable system that guides your choices each day.
When you learn:
✔️ How to eat consciously for your midlife body
✔️ How to fast confidently to support your hormones
✔️ How to rest and reset your nervous system
✔️ How to move in ways that restore your energy
Instead of life feeling overwhelming and exhausting, it begins to feel calmer, clearer, and more effective.
And that’s exactly what the Fasting Lifestyle System gives you.
It’s a complete, supportive 12-week program where I guide you step by step through building a fasting lifestyle that works with your professional life, your family life, and your social life.
No rigid rules.
No pressure to overhaul your entire routine.
💫 Just simple, powerful practices you build over time.
If you’d like to explore whether the program is the right fit for you, book a conversation with me.
Because the truth is:
You don’t need a quieter life to start taking care of yourself.
You just need the right system.
